Education fails the students.

South Africa's spend R130-billion a year on education, while the government schools  lack learning facility. Educators are faced to teach 40 to 60 students in a classroom. While only 25% of the learners who begin Grade 1 complete Grade 12 and get to higher institutes.

The previously disadvantage schools have an increase of up to 80%  students who drop out,and not reaching to university. Only the formal model C schools have a 100% of their pupils going to university. Apartheid cannot be held capable for poor education. While on the other hand the government expect an increase of black students to go to university with an acceptable pass rate of 40%

We follow the constitution  education system laws and goals. Unless, and until, initiative is taken we will continue to deny millions of South Africans an education that develops their capabilities and affirms and advances their human and social rights.http://www.timeslive.co.za/

  1. I honestly think the government needs to stop expecting ambitious students when they are only expected to obtain a 40% pass mark. They should also give public schools more attention and stop expecting excellence without providing the appropriate equipment

  2. The government does provide learning facilities.Millions are spent on education, this includes infrastructure, learning equipment and resources. The problem lies within the provincial government on what and how the budget is being spent on.The 40% was agreed upon due to the higher failing rate of students.
