Reaching to educational needs.

Hungry for knowledge and ready to go to shool without shoes. |
One cannot raise a child alone but it takes a village to grow a child.
South Africa is a country that encourages its youth and citizen to be educated, to help the country grow including economically, technologically and other ways. Though we try to develop as a nation we still have to face reality on daily basis, that we have been introduced to poverty and we can break that chain.
I become happy when I see more black people going to school, as this shows that we are eager and hungry for knowledge. We see young children walking more than 12 killometres to school, on bare foot without proper uniform.Their school is made up of leaves and grass, while their only roof is a tree.Whereas most of us are fortunate to have a roof under our heads, with all learning facilities needed. This is the time to start appreciating what we have.
This winter I pledge every South African citizen and everyone all over the world to join hands and make a difference in their communities. It only takes one pair of shoes, shirt, jersy, one book, pen or a tin of canned food to change a childs life. Do not burn the old book you have because you now have access to internet, increase another persons knowledga.Sacrifice that R1 to give another child a chance to go to university and build a future leader.
Let us follow the words of a great icon and be good leaders."I am fundamentally an optimist. Whether that comes from nature or nurture, I cannot say. Part of being optimistic is keeping one’s head pointed towards the sun, one’s feet moving forward. There were many dark moments when my faith in humanity was sorely tested, but I would not and cannot give up to despair. That way lays defeat and death."
thank you so much for reminding me that giving is not about money but i can also give from my closet i will go check and take the clothes that i dont wear and give to the needy
ReplyDeleteYes,the little we do can change other people's life. This can be the first step in building and motivating the up-coming generation. We need to motivate each other to learn more and value the knowledge we have while sharing it with others.
Deletewell i can say yes giving is not about money there are a whole lot of ways to give back imagine those who have finished their matric but cant go to Varsity because they think its expensive and they cant afford that, my point is we must stand up and give information to those who do not know about things such as NSFAS.
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree.Sharing the knowledge we have is important.
ReplyDeleteI fully agree with you Nokuthula, No child must go to school without shoes, nor with an empty stomach.I am personally happy that you have brought this up.We shoulg give without limits and share our knowledge with others.
ReplyDeleteWell, I appreciate the little that you do as an individual to build tomorrows future leader.
DeleteI think we should also teach ourselves appreciation for what we have, reading through your blog, I was touched to read about walking 12 kilometres to a place they call school but does not have proper facilities to be proud and call it a school. standing together on this is not enough, I think adopting a few characteristics and adopting a child by giving them what they deserve the most, is what we need to do. These children need us.

That is how hungry we are for education, that some people have to walk kilometres to school. We must do the little we can to educate each other and let others know that knowledge is power.
Deletethis is realy touching hey! thanks for reminding us that there are kids who walk 12klometre to schools and they dont have proper uniform, they are hungry in the stomuck but they dont seat down and do nothing couse they know what they want.
ReplyDeleteWe need to face reality, that not everyone is fortunate to have a full school inform and go to school with transport and a full stomach.Let us appreciate what we have and give to those who do not have.
Deletehaving knowledge and not sharing it with others is just as much as having nothing. i think a lot of Campaigns should be done to urge and try to change peoples perception about sharing and giving.
ReplyDeleteYes Ms SS Nqwaba, it begins with you and me to change South Africa and educate each other.
DeleteIt really pains my heart to see my fellow African children still suffering like this on the basis of education! I personally think that our democratically elected leaders have forgotten what they needed to do initially - they're now looking at getting their pockets fat!
ReplyDeleteNic, we cannot blame the South African government for such.As you may know that the is a selected budget(millions)for education including infrastructure, learning material and feeding schemes. The problem is when the money gets to the regional and provincial government. They are the one responsible for the distribution of budget in different ereas.Yes we voted for change, but let us bring the change to ourselves by doing the little we can and educate each other.
DeleteEducation is a very powerfull tool.Do the little you can to change ones life, by sharing a book.
it is so sad to see that there are many childrens still suffering out there, my question is what our leaders have to say about the accumulative increase on poverty, and rare chances of getting education?
ReplyDeleteFor once let us meet our leaders half way.All we need to do is to do the little we can do in our communities.
ReplyDeleteRemember to also share your knowledge with others.
